AGENSO participated in a webinar that was organized by the students’ club of the department of Agricultural Development of Democritus University of Thrace, on 12th of December 2020.
The webinar was entitled “Precision Agriculture: The Contribution of Technological Systems in Primary Sector”, in which the speakers talked about how modern technologies can help primary sector to boost its productivity while preserving the environment and contributing to a more sustainable future. More than 250 participants, coming from academia, research organizations, agricultural consultancy and the agrifood sector, participated in this event in total.
In this webinar, Evangelos Anastasiou presented the FarmSustainaBl project and referred on the way the modern technologies, such as IoT devices and Blockchain technology, when coupled with web based analytics, can help farmers to limit greenhouse gases emissions in the livestock sector, while producing more nutritious livestock products. The audience was actively engaged in this presentation by asking many questions, while stating that they will closely follow the project’s activities
